Continuing Education (CE) Points

You can earn up to 13 CE points across all three categories at the 2024 NDS. This includes:

  • Six points in Category 1

  • Five points in Category 2

  • Two points in category 3

Note: It is the responsibility of each individual dentist to maintain and record their CE activities with the RCDSO via the E-portfolio.

Scanning Guidelines

You must attend each day in its entirety (morning and afternoon) to claim CE points. In order to receive all eligible CE points for each day of the symposium, attendees must scan their badges in the morning and again in the afternoon. Attendees cannot claim CE points for attending a half day of the symposium.

  • Yes, there are CE points that can be earned by attending this event. However, in order to receive full CE points for Saturday, you must attend the full day including the Roundtable Exchange event.

  • In order to verify attendance, attendees must scan their badges when they arrive each morning and again in the afternoon (after lunch) when entering the lecture room. A 15-minute grace period after the start of the first AM and PM sessions will be in effect. If you arrive after the 15-minute grace period, you will not be able to earn CE points.

Please note that you must attend the full day in its entirety (morning and afternoon) to claim CE points. Attendees cannot claim CE points for attending half day of the symposium. If you do not scan in twice during each day of the symposium, we will not be able to verify your attendance at the symposium.

  • Your CE Certificate of Attendance record will be emailed to you after the symposium based on your scanning records. It is the responsibility of each member dentist to maintain his or her own continuing education records and report their CE activity to the RCDSO.

  • If you arrive late, you will not be able to earn CE points for that particular day. Partial credits will not be allocated for attending only a portion of each symposium day. A 15-minute grace period after the start of the first AM and PM sessions will be in effect. If you arrive after the 15-minute grace period, you will not be able to earn CE points.
